Is Auto Technician Certification Mandatory in Utah?

At this moment, auto technician certification is not mandatory in Utah.

Although auto tech certification isn’t at present mandatory in all states, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is leading a movement to make it a requirement for employment. With this being the case, it is strongly advised that any individual interested in becoming a surgical assistant should acquire certification from the ASE.
